- Download each image or all of them as a zip.
Why convert PNG to JPG?
PNG files of photos are often huge. Converting to JPG usually cuts the size by 70–90% with no visible difference, which makes images faster to email, upload to forms and post online. Some websites and older programs also accept only JPG.
What happens to transparency?
JPG can't store transparent areas, so they're filled with a solid color. White is the default, but you can pick any color to match where the image will be used. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP instead.
Best for photos, not for text
JPG is excellent for photos and realistic images. For screenshots of text, logos and line art, JPG can add slight blur around sharp edges. Keep those as PNG, or use quality 95 or higher.
Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my JPG be?
For photos, typically 70–90% smaller than the PNG. Screenshots with large flat areas shrink less.
What quality should I choose?
90–92 looks identical to the original for most images. Lower it to 75–85 for even smaller files.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
They're filled with the background color you choose, white by default, because JPG doesn't support transparency.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Conversion runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
